Ladies Over 40: It’s Time to Think BIGGER, Not Smaller!

A Midlife Woman Lifting Heavy Weights
It's Time To Think Bigger

Think BIGGER, Not Smaller!

I want to take a moment to speak directly to YOU (I will speak to the MEN next week).

If you’re a woman over 40, you grew up in an era that pushed one message relentlessly: be smaller.

Shrink yourself.

Eat less.

Move more.

Do endless cardio.

Lift tiny pink weights.

Fear food.

Chase the lowest number on the scale.

Sound familiar?

We were bombarded with “health” advice that was really just diet culture in disguise. Low-fat, low-calorie, low-energy. If you weren’t depriving yourself, you were doing it wrong.

And let’s not even talk about the fear of weight gain – as if gaining a single pound would somehow make us less worthy.

Well, I have news for you:

It’s time to think BIGGER, not smaller.

Bigger goals. Bigger muscles. Bigger meals that actually fuel your body. A bigger mindset that leaves shame and guilt behind. A bigger life where you don’t obsess over shrinking yourself into a space you were never meant to fit into.

The Shift Is Happening

Thankfully, I see more and more women stepping up and shouting from the rooftops that we deserve better.

You deserve to be strong.

You deserve to nourish ourselves.

You deserve to take up space and OWN it.

I see women who once feared muscle now embracing it. Women who once feared eating enough now fueling themselves properly. Women who once feared stepping off the treadmill now picking up the heavy weights and never looking back.

And let me tell you – IT. IS. BEAUTIFUL.

Yet, diet culture still lingers in the background, whispering that smaller is still better. But here’s the truth: small does not mean strong. Small does not mean healthy. Small does not mean happy.

Why Muscle Is the Answer

Instead of chasing weight loss, I want you to shift your focus.

What if you chased STRENGTH instead?

What if you worked on gaining lean muscle, increasing bone density, and having boundless energy?

Because here’s the thing: as we age, we need muscle.

It’s our armor.

It keeps our metabolism humming, protects our joints, helps us stay independent, and quite frankly, makes us look and feel amazing.

Muscle is NOT something to avoid – it’s something to strive for.

Celebrate More, Fear Less

  • Celebrate weight gain – if it means more muscle, better performance, and greater health, why would you fear it?

  • Celebrate eating more – your body needs fuel. Stop apologizing for having an appetite.

  • Celebrate lifting heavy – because you are capable of so much more than those little pink dumbbells ever allowed you to believe.

  • Celebrate being a role model – for your daughters, sisters, friends, and every woman watching you rewrite the narrative.

The Next Generation is Watching

If you have daughters, younger sisters, or friends who are still caught up in the “smaller is better” mentality, this is your chance to change the conversation. Encourage them to eat more protein, to fuel their bodies, to lift heavy, to chase strength over skinny. Let them see YOU breaking free from the chains of diet culture so they never have to wear them.

Ladies, if you’re ready to stop chasing small and start chasing strong, I’m here for you.

I offer coaching that focuses on nourishing, fueling, and strengthening your body – not starving and depleting it. If you’re tired of the old way and ready to embrace a new era of strength, confidence, and true health, I’d love to work with you.
